Who We Are For
The YWA is a home for young creators (ages 10–18) who are:
An aspiring novelists who dreams of seeing your name on a bookshelf.
A poet who fills notebooks with verses, lines, and stanzas.
A fanfiction writer who builds incredible worlds for your favorite characters.
A school journalist or blogger who wants to share truths and perspectives.
A screenwriter crafting the next great film or a playwright developing a script.
Anyone who believes in the power of words and is looking for a community that feels the same way.
What We Do
The YWA empowers emerging voices to grow in skill, confidence, and creativity. We provide opportunities for young writers to develop their craft, publish their work, and connect with a community of peers. Here, we:
Connect to exchange ideas, give feedback, and collaborate.
Sharpen our craft to become more effective storytellers.
Create opportunities to get our writing published.
Engage with diverse cultures to broaden our perspectives.
Annie, Here is a lot of BS in the world. We cut it off. So, we say: what books do you read and want to share with us? We can talk about it.
